Hello crafty peeps! I hope those of you that celebrate Thanksgiving are enjoying Thanksgiving Week - I feel like it’s a full week because my kids are out of school. *laugh*
It’s the 12th Anniversary of the Ellen Hutson Shop and I’m so excited to be a part of an Instagram hop that celebrates the shop and the lovely owner behind it.
I have been so inspired lately on Instagram by the large blended backgrounds I’ve seen everyone making with their Distress inks! When I decided to make this card for Ellen (the namesake behind the Ellen Hutson Shop), I knew I wanted to try one of these backgrounds.
I focused mostly on the background for this card and kept everything else really simple. I cut out the snowflakes from some white cardstock. I spritzed the background with my Ranger Distress Sprayer and blotted it with a paper towel.
I adhered the snowflakes and added a little Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to them. Then I added a few Pretty Pink Posh jewels. I stamped the sentiments using some VersaFine Clair ink and then fussy cut them. I adhered one of the sentiment strips with glue and the other with foam tape for added dimension.
To all my U.S. followers, enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday! Have a great week, friends.
