Greetings crafty friends! I’m hoping to have a video walk-thru of my October Daily album sometime in the next week to post here, but until them I’m going to share this fun Christmas card I made using some older Mama Elephant supplies.
I used the following Mama Elephant products for this card:
Wooly Winter stamp set + matching dies
Framed Tag Hexstar - Creative Cuts
Slim Tags Trio - Creative Cuts
Mini Messages stamp set
The first thing I did is stamp the Mama Elephant sheep images with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink that is compatible with Copic Markers. Typically I use Memento Tuxedo Black ink with my Copic Markers, but I’ve been hearing rave reviews about the Lawn Fawn ink. My verdict is they are pretty similar. The Lawn Fawn ink stamps slightly darker with the first impression, but I still stamped the image twice in my Misti. *laugh*
Then I dug up some scrap red cardstock I had in my stash and stamped it with some VersaMark Ink and then embossed with super fine detail white embossing powder. I love the Ranger Super Fine Detail powder, the sentiment I used was really thin and I wasn’t sure it would emboss well. I was really happy with the end result!
I masked off a snowy hill and moon using some Eclipse Tape and then used some Distress Ink to create a night sky. I splattered some Copic White Paint to create a snowy backdrop and stars in the night sky. Then I placed a few of the images I colored and my “happy holidays” sentiment.
Hope you enjoy the card! Thanks for stopping by today.
