This month's Essentials by Ellen release features a Leading Lady that just screams Pacific Northwest. She is my favorite Leading Lady so far and I had such a fun time creating with her. For this card I die cut the flashlight and the Woodsy Lady and colored them with Copic markers.
I stamped the Woodsy Lady and her flashlight directly on the card so that I knew where to color the backdrop and the light from the flashlight. I used Distress Oxides for the background of this card to create a night backdrop. I used a Lawn Fawn die called Starry Skies for the stars. Then a white gel pen to add a few stars in the background so that it felt a little more magical.
To create the light from the flashlight I used some Eclipse masking tape to mask off the area in front of the flashlight while I colored the background. Then I masked off the background around that area and blended two Distress Oxide colors to create the light from he flashlight.
Next I adhered the Woodsy Lady and her flashlight. The last thing I stamped was the sentiment in Memento ink, Black Tuxedo.
