Today I’m sharing a super simple, last minute idea for a valentine’s day project. I’m doing this easy project for my kids’ valentine’s day gifts, but this idea works great for any holiday or celebration. I found a dozen reusable bags, zipper bags and some suede tassels on Amazon that work great for gift bags.
Some items I’ve tucked into these bags include:
gift cards (especially for their friends that play FortNite)
cash gifts (for graduation gifts)
candy (always fun if you use them as party gift bags)
balloons (I like to have a collection of colors for every holiday)
silly glasses (for Valentine’s Day & Halloween)
pencils (I love the dollar spot at Target for these)
matchbox cars (my boys love collecting these)
For my little Valentines I’ll be filling them with a couple balloons, some chocolates and cute little heart glasses that they can wear to school. I always hit up Amazon, Target and my local party stores for stuff to fill these little bags. For this project I used the Everyday Explorers “Sent With Love” stamp set on one of my favorite Mama Elephant tag sets called “Framed Tags - Hexstar”.
I cannot say this enough, if you do not own VersaFine Clair inks … YOU NEED THEM! These images were stamped ONCE! That’s how good of an impression that ink leaves. I have this ink in several of my favorite colors and I use it for any images I am not using with Copic Markers. It’s not Copic Marker friendly, but it really is a great pigment ink for watercoloring or waterbased markers. It is embossable, but I’ve never tried it for embossing. It’s great with stamps like the ones I used today that have a lot of detail.
I hope you enjoy this post and it sparks some Valentine ideas for you! Tomorrow is release day at the Ellen Hutson shop, so stop by again for a fun project I made with the February release! Happy crafting, friends!
