Hello! The Ellen Hutson Leading Ladies release for October has finally arrived! Today I’m sharing a couple of details for creating this fun card using the Bookworm Lady with a few of the Holiday Shopper Lady accessories. That is by far one of my favorite parts about the Leading Ladies, their accessories.
The first thing I did was pick out a sheet of pale blue cardstock I had in my stash. Then I used the new Winter Window die to cut out some trees, a window frame and the icicle border. This die is so versatile. It can be used for shaker tags, you can cut the window out or cut out an opening on a card. The options are endless!
Next I selected a color theme. I stamped the Leading Ladies and colored them with Copics. I used the matching dies to cut out the ladies and their accessories. The Bookworm Lady die cuts around her folded arm so you can tuck books, presents or any one of the accessories into her arm. That’s always a fun detail with these sets.
Once all my pieces were selected, I started to arrange them on my card until I had a layout that made me happy. I used some distress inks in Seedless Preserves, Faded Jeans and Black Soot to create a night sky before assembling it all. Then I used my Nuvo Glitter brush to add some sparkle.
I hope you had a great weekend and I’ll be back later this week with some more projects! Thanks for stopping by today.
