Yesterday was National Teacher Appreciation Day and I made a card for a very special teacher! I used the Teacher Lady from the Essentials by Ellen line to create this card.
It’s serving double duty because I needed a card for the Ellen Hutson Instagram hop happening today celebrating the Leading Ladies! (Head to my Instagram feed for details - there are prizes!!)
This card background was created using a couple of the stamps from the Teacher Lady set and a couple of stamps from the Mama Elephant Page Huggers set. I stamped the images with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne onto some Bristol smooth yardstick. Then I used some Zig watercolor brushes to paint the images. Truth be told, this was my first time using these brushes and I was really impressed! It’s much faster to use them than color with Copic Markers. I’m hooked!
I stamped the Teacher Lady onto some 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock and die cut her. I colored her using my Copics. Then I cut a red apple tiny tag from some Hero Arts cardstock. I bought a sample stack of the Hero Arts cardstock from the Ellen Hutson shop and I love all the color options included!
I hope all the teachers in your lives feel appreciated this week! Our schools are spending the week celebrating our teachers and I am very thankful for all their hard work.
Thanks for stopping by today. HAPPY CRAFTING!
