I do my best to document all of my kids’ birthday celebrations. Sometimes we go all out and throw a big party for them and sometimes it’s just a quiet celebration at home. For my youngest we surprised him on the morning of his birthday with a donut cake! He loves chocolate bars & maple bars, so I whipped up a donut cake and topped it with sparklers!
I used the new Technique Tuesday Scrapbook Birthday Set to document this celebration. You can find many of the scrapbooking stamp sets that Technique Tuesday offers on their Memory Keepers Studio Stamps page. I combined this new stamp set with one of the new Fresh Cut Craft Studio dies called Large Happy Birthday.
My favorite piece of the new Large Happy Birthday die are the tiny stars die! They are the perfect size for a 3x4 pocket page card. You could also cut them several times and create a shaker pocket with a celebration image. They’d be perfect for a 4th of July layout!
I was admittedly a little nervous about the sentiment die when I first saw it in person. It appears to be VERY delicate at first glance, however the letters die cut beautifully! I used 110lb colored cardstock on mine and I am so pleased with how it looks. I adhered them with liquid adhesive.
If you’ve never used sparklers for a birthday celebration, DO IT! Oh my goodness, they were so fun! My son loved them and they look really great in pictures. I’ll be buying a surplus of them during the month of July to use throughout the year. *laugh*
