YOU GUYS!! Just two weeks into 2019 and I’ve already ruined my bullet journal!! All the UGHS!!! I got a little over zealous and tried to plan ahead. I laid out my daily logs in a vertical orientation all the way through FEBRUARY! Such a bad move. I should have just gone week by week to make sure the method I was using would work for me. But nooooo!!
I laid out the daily logs vertically because in 2018 I’d been using a TN (travelers notebook) for my daily schedule and really liked logging my day in a vertical format in that notebook. I figured that orientation would work fine for me. After reading The Bullet Journal Method, I started changing how I log daily. I’m adding a lot more information than I did in 2018 to my daily logs. This bullet journal isn’t just logging just my schedule, it’s tracking my daily life with my family. So there is more information in this notebook than what I included in my TN.
I created my first YouTube video showing you how I decided to cover my mistakes. *insert nervous laugh here* It’s a short 4 minute video and I’ve attached it below. It is my plan to start create process videos this year, so this is the first of what I hope will be many for me.
Since I’ve covered the pages that I ruined, I’ve also been trying different ways of writing my daily logs. I am very new to this method of bullet journaling, so I am focused on content, not so much presentation. I really enjoy seeing the beautiful layouts everyone does on Instagram. I follow several BuJo (bullet journal) accounts, but until I figure out what works for me I’m keeping it really basic for now.
So far the covered pages are working great for me! I mean it’s an easy solution, but I wasn’t sure if they’d start to fall apart after I started using them or if I’d be annoyed at the thickness of the pages. The paper is also a different color than the paper in the notebook. I’m doing my best not to let my OCD get the best of me. Flexibility is my mantra as I navigate this new project!
I hope you enjoy the video! Thank you for stopping by today. Have an awesome day!
