Me & My Snowmies

November 6, 2018

Have you seen enough of the November Essential by Ellen release?! I hope not because I’m sharing another card today!

The Snow Buds Stamp set is one of my favorite from the November Essentials by Ellen release. The way you can dress up their little faces with different expressions and all the cute little accessories just totally appeals to me!

For today’s project I stamped these images onto some Eclipse tape and fussy cut a few snow people. I stamped the three snowmies *giggle* in the front row to get started.

I carefully placed the eclipse tape snowmies I’d cut over those three front guys and started creating my grouping.

CRAFTING TIP: Stamp ink on Eclipse tape does not dry quickly. The surface of the tape doesn’t absorb the ink very fast. So if you use your fingers to lift up those images or push them into place, be sure to check your hands for ink. Crafting tweezers are very handy in these instances! I’ve ruined one too many projects with finger smudges.

Once I had all my snow peeps in place, I pulled out some scrap Neenah Solar White cardstock and stamped/die cut a few accessories. Since the black hats were solid black, I decided to stamp those directly onto the snow peeps. I wanted to keep the color on this card simple, so I stuck with purple for just a few of the accessories. I kept the rest of the card neutral.

I adhered the accessories in place, added a few stars to the front and carefully stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair in Nocturne. This is hands down my favorite ink for stamping sentiments. It’s a rare occasion that I have to stamp it more than once because that ink is AWESOME and leaves a really great first impression. *wink-wink*

As a finishing touch I put some Glossy Accents around the base of the snowmies and added some Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter. I like the little bit of shimmer this adds to the card.

I’m still working on wrapping up my October Daily album so I can do a walk-thru video. I’ll post on Instagram when that blog post is ready. Thanks for stopping by today!
