It's Thursday and I hope you're still following along with my tips & tricks for the August Essentials by Ellen release! Today I'm sharing a card I made using the accessories from the Medical Lady stamp set.
This is a SUPER easy card, but I love the simplicity so much.
The first thing I would recommend is take a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb paper and die cut it using the 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" rectangle from the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles die. (you'll see below that I did this AFTER I stamped everything and it was kind of a pain) Next I took my Brutus Monroe Simple Blends Square stencil and taped it to my work surface with my cardstock under it.
If you have ever struggled with placement of an image on a card before then this stencil is for you! It is sized to perfectly fit an A2 card and place the square in the upper 2/3 of the card front. (There is also a circle version of this that I will be showing you tomorrow!) This tool is really great for simplifying your card making process.
I stamped the pill bottle from the Medical Lady several times on some Judikins Eclipse Twins sticky paper and used my precision scissors to cut them out.
With the stencil in place I started stamping the pill bottles all over the opening using my Memento ink pad in Tuxedo Black. I masked the bottles and stamped over them to create a layered look. Then using my Copic markers I did some super simple coloring of the bottles.
Once all the bottles were colored, I cut out a piece of 110lb Neenah Solar White cardstock using the smallest rectangle in the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles die. Then using some VersaFine Clair ink I stamped the sentiment "our friendship is the best medicine" in the center of the rectangle. I die cut a foam sheet the same size as the small rectangle and adhered it to the back of the small rectangle. Then I centered it on the card.
Join me tomorrow as I conclude my week of tips & tricks for the Leading Ladies release!
