Pink ghosts? Why not!
In keeping with infusing my Halloween projects with pink, I created a card with pink ghosts on a pink card base. I’ve been using Gina K cardstock for my card bases lately, there’s a nice collection of options in the Ellen Hutson shop.
The first thing I did is die cut the large spider web from the EBE Spider Webs die set on a piece of 4”x5.25” piece of 110lb white Neenah Solar White cardstock. Set aside the white web and the pieces that were die cut. I adhered that die cut white cardstock onto the pink card base. Then I die cut the spiderweb from some black cardstock. I inlaid the black die cut piece into the white cardstock and placed the negative white cardstock pieces back in place on the web to create the inlay. Placing the pieces back in place is tedious, but totally worth it!
The ghosts are from the Happy Haunting set and they’re stamped with Lawn Fawn, Jet Black ink. Then I stamped the infill with Spun Sugar Ranger Distress Oxide ink and die cut them. The infill on the bat is VersaFine Clair in Morning Mist.
I created my own polka dot paper by blending some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink on white cardstock and then stenciling polka dots over it in Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I cut the sentiment “boo” using the Classic Block Alpha by Essentials by Ellen and then stamped “happy haunting” below it. A few well placed black star sequins and this card was done!
Hope you’re having a great weekend! Happy crafting, everyone.
