The Ellen Hutson shop is having a big Halloween Flash Sale today, no coupon needed! Since it’s Halloween I decided to show you a few of the cards I made and mailed out this Halloween. I’ve added links to the products I used for these cards at the bottom in case you need ideas for shopping. *laugh*
For this first card I used several Lawn Fawn dies. I love their crooked fence die they call “SPOOKY FENCE”. I kept this card design pretty simple with a simple “trick or treat” border die in white.
I really like using stencils. This is a “new to me” tool in my studio. They work especially well with Distress Oxide Inks. I used them to create clouds on this card and sun rays on the cloud below. I love how subtly the Oxide Inks blend together for these backgrounds.
This last card was a really quick and easy card. The most time consuming part for me was coloring those little trick or treat littles with Copics. I really like using dies to create scenes for complex cards. They add depth and it’s quick and easy to arrange the various dies on a card front. It’s just a matter of finding the right combination. *laugh* I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find myself in a bind and I need a quick card!
I hope these cards inspire a little retail therapy for you or inspire you to create your own fun cards with stencils and dies. Have a very safe and happy Halloween!
