This big day has finally arrived, December Daily is now in full swing. November was such a blur of activity for our family. Sports events, travel and unfortunately a lot of sickness. We seem to have all caught a cold of some sort during the month of November. We enter the month of December healthy and ready to get the month started.
This year I didn’t get around to creating foundation pages for my December Daily album. I’ve collected a few bits and pieces for my album, so I think this month I’m going to wing it. I’m happy with the products I’ve collected. I probably won’t use them all, but they have definitely gotten me into the Christmas spirit!
I look forward to the infamous red cup season every year! This year’s Starbucks cups did not disappoint. I couldn’t resist the pretty red reusable cup! However I still manage to forget it when I head out for coffee. *laugh*
For this year’s December 1st layout I decided to take all the pretty cups I collected and cut them down to 3x4 for my album. I really like how they look all gathered together on a page.
The “but first coffee” sticker is by Ali Edwards. The date banner is from a Feed Your Craft die cut pack I bought.
I ask my husband to pose with coffee cups for me on occasion, when he’s willing. So I used a photo of him holding one of the cups as my page for journaling. I opened it up in Photoshop and typed up my journaling around his hand and the cup. I took the picture intending to type around the image. Occasionally I look for opportunities to create those moments - blank spaces for journaling on photos that I’m taking. A trick I learned from Ali Edwards.
This page came together quickly! It didn’t take much product at all to pull it together and that’s just what I needed for day one. There will be days this month when I’ll devote more time to crafting on these pages, but on this day I just didn’t have the time.
How is your album coming along? Did you do foundation pages? I’d love to hear about your progress and/or process for your December Daily album.
Happy crafting, friends!
