Are you ready for the holiday season?!! Welcome to the August release blog hop for Essentials by Ellen. There are so many fun sets to choose from for this release to get you ready for the BIG THREE - Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you don’t celebrate any of those holidays, these stamp sets are versatile enough to make great birthday cards or friendship cards! You can check out the entire release HERE on the release page.
For today’s card I used one of my favorite stencils by Brutus Monroe, a square stencil. This stencil is laid out to align with a 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” card front. It allows you to blend inks within a square space that is perfectly located on your card front.
If you ever have a creative block, reach for the Square Brutus Monroe stencil. Pick a color palette, blend some distress ink and add your images to the opening. You can add the sentiment just outside the square or try embossing it inside the box! Better yet, add a die cut banner with a sentiment.
I blended some Spun Sugar & Dried Marigold for my background. Pink seems to be trending this year for Fall celebrations in images popping up all over Pinterest. I love this unconventional color combination for Thanksgiving.
