It's the April release day for three new Everyday Explorer stamp sets! For this layout I'm using the Food Icons set. It's small enough to add detail to your traveler's notebook, but also the perfect size for making your own journal cards. That's what I used it for on this layout.
This is a 6x8 pocket page layout that I put in my daughter's album. I have an album for each of my kids where I document little things about their childhood that I don't want to forget. These photos were from a trip to Leavenworth, WA. We went into a candy shop that had ice cream. Her favorite flavor of ice cream or pretty much anything sweet is cotton candy. So I took a photo of her holding her cotton candy ice cream and then I took a photo of some cotton candy that was hanging in the candy shop.
Then I stamped the little ice cream cone icon twice and the "yum" sentiment onto a piece of 3x4 watercolor paper. Then I stamped the "yum rating" sentiment below them. I used my Kuretake watercolor markers to add some color to the images. These markers are really great to use with water brushes. A little bit of color from them goes a long way! One thing to note when using watercolor with these stamp images, make sure you use a waterproof ink. I used Archival Ink by Ranger. It worked great!
I used a 3x4 journal card I had from one of the past Kelly Purkey monthly kits. Added some staples and sequins & called it good! I love all the bright colors on this layout.
