Welcome to the Essentials by Ellen September 2019 Release blog hop! This cute little retro rocketship with fun little planets and even a few aliens is one of many fun sets part of this month’s release. Once your background is blended and your die cut pieces are die cut, the card I’m showcasing today comes together relatively quickly.
Die cut rocketship from white cardstock. Add double sided tape & clear thread. Add a layer of foam tape around the edge & attach clear thread.
Add a second layer of foam tape over the first layer to add some depth so the sequins to shake around.
Cut a card frame that matches your blended background and add clear acetate.
Add some sequins & place the frame over the foam tape. I like to use the Misti to align the edges of the card front.
I finished it off with a sentiment and more sequins.
I like to use clear thread for these projects when I don’t want my images flipping over, but I still want them to have some movement. The planets and moon are adhered to my background so that the sequins float over them. I used the new Gina K neon ink in raging red and potent purple for my blended background with the Distress Oxide. I was pleased to see that it blended nicely with one of the Life Changing brushes!
