I threw a little Halloween Pumpkin Carving party for my daughter and her friends in October. It was such a success that she wanted to do one for Christmas, so I decided to put together a little Gingerbread House party! I used some old Kelly Purkey number stamps and a gingerbread cookie stamp from an old Clearly Kelly set.
The rest of the stamps are the new release by Everyday Explorers. There are lots of holiday stamps that are part of this release. I really like the varying sizes and how they can all be used together. I have grand plans of creating a December calendar for my December Daily album with some of the holiday icon stamps from this release. Stay tuned for that next week!
I created the invitation in Adobe Illustrator first and then printed four to a sheet. I printed it on some Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I cut them down in size so that I could easily use my MISTI to stamp the images. I like to use my MISTI to get crisp stamp images on my projects. Especially if I’m doing duplicates! The MISTI definitely speeds up the process.
I finished off the invitations with some woven paper I had from my wedding (cue the tears) invitations. There was something so surreal about using papers from my wedding on an invitation created for my daughter. *sigh*
Anywho … I used one of the medium sized snowflakes from the Pop-Up Mittens die and wrapped the paper with some twine. Tied a bow and called it good! I’m so please with how this turned out. Just wait until you see the gift boxes and cute place settings I have planned for this party!! EEEP!!
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you come back to see pictures of the party in a couple of weeks. They will be so fun!
